Hallee + Wyatt | Rainy Engagement Session at Wentworth by the Sea

New Castle, NH

Engagements

Okay — let’s talk about rainy day magic, because Hallee and Wyatt’s engagement session at Wentworth by the Sea was proof that you don’t need sunshine for a session to feel completely dreamy. It was one of those soft, gray New England afternoons where the sky just kind of melts into the ocean. The rain came and went in that slow, moody way that actually made everything feel more romantic. There’s something about the way raindrops collect on leaves, or how the clouds wrap around the buildings, that makes everything feel quieter — more intimate. And honestly, I think it suited these two perfectly.

Wentworth by the Sea, with all its historic charm and coastal elegance, gave us the most beautiful setting to wander around and soak it all in. Its grand white architecture and timeless coastal charm is one of those places that holds its own no matter the weather. Even on a soft, rainy day, it’s absolutely stunning. The white façade of the hotel popped against the muted sky, and the wet paths shimmered just a little bit, like they were part of an old love story unfolding right in front of us.

There’s something about rainy days that pulls you closer — that makes everything feel softer and more intentional. And with Hallee and Wyatt, it was all of that and more. Just two people, fully present with each other, letting the weather do its thing while they soaked in the moment.

We started at the Wentworth, exploring their dock area and wooded paths, before making our way inside for some awesome elevator and lobby shots.

Sessions like this feel intimate. Slower. The kind where you don’t rush through poses or chase the sun. Instead, it’s all about leaning in — to each other, to the moment, and to the perfectly imperfect beauty of the day.

Halle and Wyatt wandered the grounds, hand in hand, with the hotel’s historic façade towering behind them and the smell of the ocean in the air. Her off-the-shoulder dress moved softly with the breeze, while he kept things classic in dark tones that grounded the look. It was simple, elegant, and effortlessly them.

We then headed over to a little beach I found driving up to the Wentworth – the perfect secluded spot to finish their session. The sky gave us that soft, golden haze that only seems to show up on the coast. Halle danced barefoot on the beach (unprompted, because she's adorable like that), and every time they looked at each other, it was like no one else was around. My camera was just along for the ride. What I loved most about this session is how "them" it felt. Nothing forced. Just two people madly in love, soaking in this season of life in a place that matched their calm, romantic energy perfectly.

Hallee & Wyatt — thank you for embracing the rain, for being so present, and for making your love feel like the sun was shining anyway. I already know your wedding day is going to be something so special.
